NOC Search 2026: Find Your Code and TEER | ImmigraCan
The National Occupational Classification (NOC) 2021 is the system used by Canada to classify occupations. Since 2022, the NOC has used the TEER (Training, Education, Experience and Responsibilities) system with 6 levels (TEER 0 to 5).
Eligibility by TEER
- TEER 0, 1, 2, 3: Eligible for Express Entry (FSW, CEC)
- TEER 4 and 5: Generally not eligible for federal Express Entry, but may be eligible for some PNPs
Examples: Software Engineer = NOC 21232 (TEER 1); Nurse = NOC 31301 (TEER 1); Chef = NOC 62200 (TEER 2)
